About Us

About ADAS
The Alamo Danville Artists' Society, established in 1977, is a non-profit organization that fosters fine art appreciation and education within our communities, provides an opportunity for artists to further their artistic development, and supports the school art programs through fund-raising.

Membership includes artists and patrons who appreciate the visual arts. ADAS regularly hosts distinguished and nationally known guest artists at the monthly meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our membership currently consists of over 200 professional and non-professional artists of all levels, including non-artists as well.

The Alamo Danville Artists' Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing monetary contribution in support of art programs in the San Ramon Valley schools.

ADAS Philanthropy
ADAS has been able to award cash grants of $5,000 to $10,000 yearly since 1995, totaling over $125,000. Those funds directly supplement our local schools art education programs. Artists who sell their work in our art exhibits voluntarily donate a percentage of the sale of their artwork to our Art for the Schools program.

Blackhawk Gallery is located at 3416 Blackhawk Plaza, Danville. Hours: Monday-Saturday 10AM to 8PM, Sunday 11AM to 6PM. The gallery is a co-operative operated by members of the ADAS, featuring local professional member artists working in watercolor, oils, acrylics, pastels, glass, ceramics, photography, sculpture, fine jewelry, and fiber art. Exhibits are changed every ten weeks with a reception. Gift Certificates are available.
