DESCRIPTION:The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the beginning of Summer with Danville Summerfest June 20 & 21\, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Hartz & Prospect Avenues in Downtown Danville.  Co-sponsored by the Town of Danville\, Danville Summerfest features a dazzling spectrum of art\, live music on stage and street corner\, and a Children's Faire including pony rides\, train rides\, spider mountain\, and arts & crafts activities.\n\n \n\nMore than 200 artisans from around the country and the Bay Area display their work during this two-day event. The artwork\, often one-of-a-kind\, represents widely varying styles and mediums including painting\, sculpture\, glass\, ceramics and photography\, as well as mixed-media\, fiber\, metal\, leather and wood.\n\n  \n\nThe art of music is also well represented too\, with live performances on West Prospect and on the Main Stage at Hartz Ave. and School St.\, The Children's Faire is located on School St.  Activities on Prospect Avenue during the weekend include a local merchant street fair on Saturday and Sunday\, and a Classic Car Show on East Prospect (Sunday only).  \n\n \n\nHosted by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce\, there are two Beer & Wine booths that offer craft micro-brews and fine wines for you to enjoy at the faire.\n\n \n\n"Walking through the streets\, sampling food\, seeing the art and listening to the music   it's a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones\," says Shelby McNamara\, president of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce. \n\n \n\nBring the whole family to Danville Summerfest!
