"Travels Through Europe"

The Danville Community Band, under the direction of Robert Calonico, Dr. Lawrence Anderson and Teri Musiel, concludes its 2012-13 season with a musical journey featuring tunes and composers from continental Europe; including Gershwin’s American in Paris; von Suppe’s Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna; and Arutiunian’s Concerto for Trumpet featuring Bill Lohman. The program will also include special guest vocalist, Elizabeth Hunter Ashley, as well as the clarinet choir Clarinet Fusion.
The band will also be presenting the winner of their annual Student Instrument Scholarship. The winning student musician will receive a brand new music instrument to help encourage them to continue their musical endeavors with a quality new instruement.
Join us as we celebrate the conclusion of the band’s 11th season.
