World Premiere Jazz Performance of "San Francisco - Paris of the West"
Featuring Pianist, Vocalist, Composer Sarah McKenzie

Amidst her international tour, the brilliant, young star of jazz, Sarah McKenzie will be performing the world premiere of newly commissioned work, San Francisco – Paris of the West at the Lesher Center for the Arts. Sarah will be backed by a powerhouse band led by GRAMMY award winner, John Clayton on the bass, as well as Jeff Hamilton, Jeff Clayton, Warren Wolf, Randy Napoleon, Jeff Clayton, Rickey Woodard, and Gilbert Castellanos. Already known in Europe and her native Australia, "McKenzie has a taste for straightahead jazz and a fondness for arrangers and bandleaders like Maria Schneider and Terri Lyne Carrington, both of whom she considers role models," explained by Allen Morrison for the Downbeat Magazine.
